Wayne led 20 of us up FSR509 past the Seepage Lakes (now dried up) and on to Ghost Lake for our lunch. We encountered a salamander right in the middle of the road, don't know where it was headed. Found a couple of water snakes at the edge of Ghost Lake and a lot of other unknown activity going on in the moss, never could see what it was.
The light was just right to get a picture of the lunch group's reflection in the lake along with the aspens........lucky I guess.
The aspens are beginning to show some color up high, hope we have a long and colorful season.
Be sure and come out tonight for our Full Moon outing on Shaw Mesa about 630-7PM.......
