East of Shaw Mesa

Wayne & Linda led us on a nice hike East of Shaw Mesa, a good 4 mile hike for some of us and 5.6 miles for the rest of the group. It was a scenic hike with lots of variety but the wildflowers are almost all gone at this elevation.
Wayne & Linda will lead the group tomorrow to the top of Alberta Peak on the Continental Divide Trail, be at the VCPL by 9AM to carpool to the top of Wolf Creek Pass to start the hike.
I will lead the group Thursday through the Boulder Field and then South toward Cross Creek and then back to the North, coming down to Million Reservoir from the East. We will have one steep hill to climb and some bushwhacking to do. Meet at the VCPL by 9AM to carpool to the trailhead.
We will have a moonlight outing Friday night at our usual spot on Shaw Mesa. Mary & I will bring the dogs, buns, condiments, water and s'more stuff........we will eat about 730PM. Come and bring a dish to share and a friend or two...........
Dennis
