We hiked up about 4 miles before running out of gas, ate our lunch and started back down. We had some rain showers on our way down, one person decided to take a bath in the creek but most of us stayed pretty dry. So many different flowers that we saw than about 5 weeks ago on this trail!! The mushrooms are popping up, didn't pick any yet, as the ones that were edible were too old. Due to the size of our group (18) we had to split up at the wilderness boundary into the "rabbits" and "turtles" groups...
We will hike the Deep Creek trail next week, meet at Rickles park at 8 AM, bring your lunch, water, rain gear and a friend.......
