We hiked up the East Alder canyon for a little over 2 miles (seemed like more) and gained 1500 feet in elevation; that means it was steep, steep and some more steep. This group was an aggressive group of hikers and no complaints were made; maybe thought about though........
We ended up on FSR 610-3B which is no longer on the map, just on the topo map that Jan had. We thought we would run onto FSR611, but we never did.
Next Thursday we will try to go to the yert; if we don't have enough people ( 8 ) we will go up to Del Norte peak from the East instead.
Meet at the VCPL at 9AM, bring a lunch, water and a friend......
