Hike up Baxter Mountain the "easy" snowy way.

To hike in the snow or to hike on bare south facing slopes:  That was the question.
The answer was apparently "You can't keep good women out of the snow—even if sometimes it's up to our knees."
(Maybe it was partly due to the sunnier slope was longer and steeper.)
So, we climbed up to the TV installations on Baxter Mountain to view the valley in which we live.
Result:  lovely!

The road

Good viewpoint

 ponderosa pine on steep slope

Rock "castle" in the hills.

The "train" to the top (walking up is much, much easier.

Down the old road

to the paved road;
 angular hiking.
