No-name Mtn

The Tuesday hikers re-emerged, finding a gentle way up a steep hillside, then skimming the top and looking down on things from 9577' and more, and descending through the old burn of 2002  and the thickets of aspen.

This "low" mountain lies just up from the center of town (we waved at Katie in the Visitor Center). Yet none of us had been to the rather long flat top. Deer trails led us upward. Views of Willow Park subdivision were available at our lunch stop, and burned timber and small cliffs challenged us going down.

Bob came back with out any "sheds" but we saw deer and the tracks of elk. Thanks to Judy for the pick-up service in Beaver Mtn. Estates.

Join Bob next week on Tuesday for another adventuresome hike just East of here a couple of miles. Get to know the outskirts of your town a little better.  9 a.m. departure from the Visitor Center. on Tuesday.

Also--Monday hike 9 a.m.; Thursday hike with Dennis Shepherd.

Dennis wants you to enjoy the full moon with some vittles on the fourth day of May.  If all works out, you'll probably get an e-mail notice from him.
