West Frisco Creek Trail

We hiked up the West Frisco Cr. trail for about 2 miles and 1300 feet of increased elevation. Some "rabbits" went further up than this but most of stayed at our favorite lunch spot for lunch and relaxation............

We will hike up the Hope Cr. trail next Tuesday, it will be a trail clearing hike. Bring gloves and lots of elbow grease along with your lunch, water and a friend. I will bring a chainsaw to use up to the Wilderness boundary, from there on it will be hand saws. The Forest Service was working on this trail today, if they have it cleared we will go to the CDT between Bonita Pass and Silver Pass and clear it; this trail has needed clearing for over a year. We have unofficially adopted this section of the CDT in years past and have done quite a bit of work on it

WE WILL BE MEETING AT 8 AM TO AVOID SOME OF THE HEAT AND THE THUNDERSTORMS. WE WILL ALSO BE MEETING AND PARKING AT RICKLES PARK, WHICH IS ACROSS THE ROAD FROM THE HEALTH CENTER.....................

Hope to see all of you next Tuesday........

Dennis
