We changed our hike to the Model T Park hike, it was looking pretty stormy over Wolf Cr. Pass. We went in a different way than before, we found an old logging road that had recently been cleared of the downed trees in the burned area and we followed it to the Model T...........
The wild flowers are nearly gone at this elevation (9990 feet), if you want fresh flowers you will have to go higher up. We got rained on just enough to have to put on our raingear, the first time this has happened all year (as I recall) so we have been pretty lucky.
Next weeks hike will be a short one, Susan McNeil is having a carry in dinner at her house; she is furnishing the hamburgers, buns, drinks and table ware, all we need to do is bring a covered dish to share with the group.............
Meet at the VCPL at 9 AM, bring water, a friend and something to share with the group.
