Model T Park

We made it this time! Seven of us trudged up the long trail to Model T Park. The nature encounters, the vast views of our exciting topography, and the dynamics of fire recovery made the strain worthwhile. We saw and heard about 40 elk waiting for us in the Park, then leaving it or us. Colorful tent caterpillars were busy pruning 10' tall aspens, causing a few "yuks". Vetch, grasses, golden banner, wild rose, iris, and a dozen other flowers seem to be holding the soil burned in 2002.

The dust and ash are gone. A stark beauty with exciting regrowth makes this an interesting and inspiring place to stroll.
