The Wednesday hike strolled along the south and east rim of Shaw Mesa—the first time some of us had seen it when the sun was up. Flowers were abundant. Steep declivities and rocks somewhat separated from each other were tempting to hikers from a Texas family.
Those of you going to the moonlight hike tonight should appreciate some of these wonders from a safe distance.
Happy Fourth. Only hike on Friday is in the parade with other Silverthreaders. God bless our troubled land.
