Monday 9/21 Hike

The hike on Monday is going to be near 30 mile campground by the Rio Grande reservoir. Because of the added driving distance, we will meet one hour earlier at 8:00 AM at the visitor center.

We plan to stop at Freeman's for hamburgers/ice cream on the way back.

Hope to see you on Monday,
Wayne and Linda

Heart Mountain

Harolena and I discovered this mountain on the way to Hanson's Mill this
winter and called it Heart Mountain. You can just learn something every day
if you look for it.

Every day is a gift, that's why it is called the present

Groomed

Blow Out is groomed and there is a unique sight on it. I have attached two pictures showing the steam coming out of the snow.

Grooming pictures on 12/14/11

We saw lots of interesting scenery today while grooming. The two moose, lots of deer, and beautiful trees. We even found three head of cattle up on top that need to be rescued.

Grooming Pictures

The pictures on top on Rincon Ridge, the bald mountain is Mesa Mountain. The picture of South Fork is from the Augua Ramon Overlook on the way up and the picture of the moon is from the overlook on the way down. The narrow trail and drifts are on 612 above trail 610. The drifts were only about 6 ft. high. The pictures are compliments of Harolena. You all have a good day.
