We found 2 small pieces of petrified wood along the base of the hill, so we went on up the canyon and looped around to cover the top of the slope. David Price found a larger piece on the way back to the truck but the grass is too high for an effective search. The grass is so high that Pat said it was hitting her on her nose, the slopes that would usually be barren were covered with lots of grass due to the amount of rain we have received.
Wayne will be back to take us on a hike Monday, 9AM at the VCPL...................come out and join us.
