We started hiking at the Cathedral CG and went up the Fremont Camp Trail for 2 to 3 miles and had our lunch and then came back to the trucks....
The wildflowers are fantastic!! It is worth a trip up there just to see all of them in their glorious beauty............
We will probably hike the Bonita Pass to Silver Pass portion of the CDT next week, it needed a lot of TLC the last time we hiked it. Bring a small shovel/pick or other tools needed to make water bars and move some rocks. I will bring my chain saw and accessories for it........
Meet at the VCPL at 9AM, bring lunch, water and a friend.........

The San Luis valley is located in Southern Colorado high up in the beautiful Rocky Mountains! Our club members are comprised of avid Outdoor Adventurers and Environmental Activists. We came together as a group to create an environment where we can enjoy our magnificent surroundings and work together to preserve and protect this incredible area.
