We avoided the wind (almost!) by going up the Sentinel Mtn. trail, following it until it ran out. We bushwhacked a little bit and got to look over the Elk Cr. Ranch area then turned around and had lunch on the way back down the trail. A pleasant hike and the weather cooperated, the snow in the forecast never materialized...............
We will hike Thursday and next Tuesday; Tuesday's hike will be above Coller area and to an overlook on the other side of Elk Cr. ranch. I have heard there are some old cabins to the West of the overlook, we will try to find them.........
Meet at the Comm Bldg at 9AM, bring lunch, water and a friend...
