Snowshoeing
Here's an update for those who would like to tromp through the snow with friendly companions.
We are snowshoeing (or hiking) every Monday morning. We gather at the South Fork Visitor Center before 10:00 a.m., then carpool to a place where the snow is deep enough to protect the "big feet" that we wear. We walk between 2 and 5 miles round trip (maybe less if the snow gets deeper). The benefits to you are aerobic exercise in some of the beautiful places in the Rio Grande National Forest.
I'll be going to Denver this weekend for a family celebration (Judy's uncle reaching 90 years of age in good humor). During our stay, I expect to take a lesson in photo management on the new I-Mac (Lion) at the Apple store near where we're staying.
Wayne Moulds and Dennis Shepherd will lead you on Monday, wherever the snow permits snow-going. Have fun!

Sentinel Mountain
John Treibly and Eric Knudson honored us with their participation. On the N base of Sentinel Mountain, we stepped lightly for about 3 miles in the 6-10" of snow.
Next Monday--meet at 9:55 a.m. at the South Fork Visitor Center, with snowshoes and boots.
