It seems that the weather will allow us to hike above timberline on Wednesday, perhaps for one of the last times this year. I propose that we drive the long ride up into Schnitzel Park, then go up the Crater Lake trail to meet the Continental Divide Trail and mosey along on it for a while, according to your preferences.
We have options--go along the CDT, go up a little peak, (maybe) wander down to Crater Lake, or whatever else you and the clouds decide.
If the weather changes, we'll explore one of our lower trails or logging roads.
