Poage lake hike

We found some chanterelles, some very fresh and some older ones, but not one Bolete was to be found.  Perhaps we are still a little early for them.  The cattle have really spent a lot of "loafing" time in this area, should be lots of mushrooms next year if they like fertilizer.............
The wildflowers are at their peak at this elevation (10,900 ft.) but it looks drier up there than down lower around Big Meadows area..

Come Monday for a very interesting hike, Wayne is taking us up the Hope Cr. trail, we will need to be cautious in the burned area.
