Wayne led 19 hikers up the Deep Creek canyon for 2.5 miles of great scenery, pleasant company and lunch. Some service minded folks rebuilt the footbridge across the creek, makes it a lot easier and safer to make the crossing; thanks to whomever!
The wildflowers are at their peak and the mushrooms are coming on, so keep your eyes peeled and your sacks handy......
Doug is leading a high hike on Wednesday, will be on the CDT part of the time, so be sure and meet up with him at 9AM at the Visitor Center.
I plan on searching for the Apache Tears outcropping somewhere North of Poage lake on Friday; we will probably run into some mushrooms as well. Come prepared for either/both events........
