We visited 2 kilns, one in ruins the other still in fair shape. The moisture we have received the last 6 weeks has brought out the wildflowers like I haven't seen for several years. Even in this "dry" region the flowers were flourishing. After seeing the kilns we hiked on up a ways and went up to a high point for our lunch. Welcome to Bill & Karen Early to our hiking group, hope you enjoy the outings as much as we do..........
Next Fridays hike will be a bit harder, we will go to the Natural Arch but approach it from the East, which is a longer and off-trail route.
Remember our hike on Monday, Wayne will lead us on a good outing..............9AM at the VC.
