5 to the top of Sentinel Mtn.

The tough hike was declared properly tough by the time we got down from Sentinel Mountain.  The day could not have been better--clear skies, cool temps, no rain, no hunters, only a little confusion to challenge our choice of down routes, and only two band-aids used up.

Thanks to Judy, we had iced tea, brownies, and chips waiting for us at the bottom.

Future hiking opportunities:
Thursday--Dennis will lead us into further exploration of the Lime Kiln drainage area.

We'll continue the Monday, Tuesday, Thursday schedule at 9 a.m., until November starts.  (Then we'll collapse Monday and Tuesday into Mondays at 10 a.m.  We'll have to learn when Dennis is headed back to Kansas to announce any change on Thursdays.)
Next Monday, Wayne will lead us somewhere intriguing.
Next Tuesday, we'll take a gentler hike.  If weather permits, we'll try Pup Peak (between Del Norte and Monte Vista) (steep but not very tough)

We'll see you on the trails!
