Wayne led us up the Alder Bench trail for our 2.5 mile hike and found a nice spot for lunch. After lunch we came back to the guard station for cup cakes and ice cream, compliments of Wayne & Linda; Thank you!!
Some of the wildflowers have begun their second set of blossoms but most of them have matured and gone to sleep for the next few months........
It was drier on this trail than on a lot of the other trails we have been on, just a drier canyon.
Doug is leading the group up to the top of Del Norte peak tomorrow and up the Trout Cr. trail on Thursday, meet at the VCPL by 9 AM and bring your lunch, water, raingear and a friend...........
